Start on your computer
- On macOS, Linux or WSL, install Node.js 20 or later and Claude Code 2.1.284 or later. Sign in to Claude Code.
- Download the personal runner.
- In its download folder, run
node dbot.mjs pair "My laptop". - Open the link it shows. Approve the device with the matching code.
- Run
node dbot.mjs connect /path/to/your/project. Keep this terminal open.
In Slack, mention @d_bot in your bot’s channel. Type a prompt in the connected terminal to start work. Use /new to start another task or /open to return to saved work.
Use Steer or Cancel on the task card. The terminal’s /stop command also cancels the task. Reconnect to the same computer to keep its saved Claude session.
The runner shares this task’s messages, tool activity and output files with its Slack channel. Your other Claude chats stay on your computer.
